In an inspiring and strategic move to preserve Kuwait’s marine environment, PUFF launched a new social initiative, a comprehensive restoration work on the Fintas Marine Ramp, in collaboration with Kuwaiti environmental advocate Yousef Al-Omran (popularly known as Bu Jarrah). The ramp is considered one of the most vital facilities used by boaters for launching into the sea. This project reflects PUFF’s ongoing commitment to supporting sustainability and driving positive change across communities.
Mohammad Al-Buloushi, Project Development Specialist at PUFF, emphasized the cultural significance of the sea in Kuwait's heritage: “The marine environment is a cornerstone of our national identity and our ancestors’ legacy. It's our duty to take part in initiatives that protect these coastal facilities. By restoring the Fintas ramp, we aim to ensure the safety of boat users and preserve this essential infrastructure.”
He also noted that the collaboration with Al-Omran played a major role in the success of the initiative, reiterating PUFF’s active participation in projects that promote sustainable development: “At PUFF, sustainability and environmental well-being are central to our mission. This initiative reflects our belief in taking real action toward community safety and ecological responsibility,” added Al-Buloushi.
Yousef Al-Omran commented on the technical aspects of the project: “We replaced all damaged sections of the ramp and introduced new, high-quality components to enhance safety and usability. We also installed clear safety signage to help guide visitors through proper protocols.” The renovations didn’t end merely with the structural upgrades. PUFF’s team also installed solar-powered lighting and eco-friendly guidance panels to support safe navigation, further underscoring the brand’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship.
This renovation is part of PUFF’s broader sustainability roadmap, which includes a series of initiatives dedicated to preserving Kuwait’s scenic marine environments and empowering youth-led development. Through these efforts, PUFF continues to invest in practices that promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability for the future.
